Speech Language Pathologist: Part-Time

Job Summary

Midwest Pediatric Therapy is a therapist-owned pediatric speech and occupational therapy practice in Bloomingdale, IL and we are growing! We are seeking part-time Speech Language Pathologists to join our team of dedicated and outgoing therapists.Part-Time SLPs positions are currently available for late afternoons/evenings (4-7pm) and Saturdays mornings/early afternoons (between 9am-2pm).

At MWPT:

‍You will evaluate and treat pediatric patients with a variety of disorders, including, but not limited to, phonological and articulation disorders, language delays/disorders, social communication disorders, Autism, CAS, and fluency disorders.

  • Administer, score and analyze standardized and criterion-referenced assessments for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders.
  • Develop treatment plans and individualized goals for treatment of various communication disorders.
  • Document treatment sessions and write bi-annual progress reports.
  • Collaborate with client's family to discuss progress and implement home-programs to promote carryover of skills.
  • Collaborate with SLPs and OTs on the team to expand and increase knowledge and skills using Evidence Based Practices.

What you bring:

  • A desire and willingness to make an impact in the communication, confidence and functional life skills of individuals with developmental delays and disorders.
  • Positive and patient demeanor.
  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Illinois License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from ASHA.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1+ years experience in speech pathology preferred, but strong CF candidates may be considered.
  • A valid driver’s license.
