Jennifer is a seasoned school social worker with 9 years of school based experience across K-12. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Dominican University in River Forrest in 2016. Jennifer has had her clinical license since 2023 after completing more than 3000 hours of clinical supervision. Jennifer is a bilingual Spanish speaker, and is well acquainted with trauma informed practices and strives for cultural competency in her service delivery.
Jennifer enjoys practicing in a client centered environment that prioritizes a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a safe space to practice new social skills for success in the real world. Play therapy, motivational interviewing, person in environment and family systems approaches are therapeutic modalities that Jennifer utilizes regularly in her work with young clients and their families. Jennifer is a parent to a child with ADHD/ASD and is an advocate for children with neurodivergent needs in the school system. Jennifer also has experience in providing support to parents of children with developmental and learning disabilities. 1:1 parent coaching and individual therapy is also available.
In her free time, Jennifer likes to crochet, learn new phrases in different languages and spend time with her family. Jennifer has two kitty siblings she recently adopted that also keep her busy, Kiwi & Sheralanda.
